My grandsons gave me a pot that had an amaryllis bulb in it, these are amazing flowers. I loved watching it grow until finally the blooms opened up with their spectacular display. I had just gotten my new digital camera so I had fun taking pictures as the blooms changed size.

I bet you can appreciate the color even more at this time of year. I think amaryllis are the brightest and prettiest plants during the winter. Wonderful picture of the flower and its bright red color.
