Day 141 - Red Truck

I thought this was a really cool red model truck, looks a but antique. This was in Hobby Lobby and I've been thinking of getting it to decorate my dh office.

Day 137 - Ground Cover

As you can see my ground cover is growing really well this year. I love this ground cover because it will continue to bloom all summer long.

I got a bit behind due to eye surgery this week and just didn't feel like posting until now.

Day 132 - Mediterranean Pinks

This is my favorite ground cover! Mediterranean pinks, they spread and keep blooming all summer long. To spread them you just shake some of the seeds into your hands and then plant them where you want them. It comes up every year, if you have a wall for it to cascade over it is beautiful.

Day 131 - Dogwod

I love dogwood trees! We don't have any but they do at the church so I took a picture of them there. I don't believe they are as pretty as they were last year though. I did like the brick background as it adds an interest touch to the picture.

Day 130 - Chicken Jump

Lexie can jump really high as you can see in this picture. It is a good thing she hasn't figured that out or the chicken that was on the counter here would have been all gone! She was determined to have some of the chicken that was up there after dinner was over which gave me a perfect opportunity to get this action shot.

Day 129 - Fresh Bloom

I love this rose the colors are just beautiful!

Day 128 - Bye

Lexie takes up her position every morning to tell my husband good-bye in the morning. She was calmer this morning she usually wants to shut the door.

Day 127 - Seeds are flying

Well we have had the flowers now come the seeds and they are flying everywhere! So you know there will be more flowers to come etc..

Day 126 - Gerbera Daisies

I love these Gerber daisies that I took a picture of at Kingwood center. I don't have any in my flower garden yet but I would really like to get some.

Day 125 - A Chance Meeting

I thought it was so interesting that the ladies top matched the peacock color perfectly.!

Day 124 -My Church

I finally remembered to take my camera to church so I could get a picture of the outside.

Day 123 - Tall phlox

My ground cover "tall phlox" has exploded and it is beautiful. The tall phlox isn't sticky like the lower growing kind.

Day 122 - A Winning Photo

I have posted part of this picture before but I had to post it again because I won!!!
I won 1st place in the pet area of the contest at the Artisan Guild that they had back in March. It was hard waiting for the results to be posted in their magazine May 1st.

Day 121 - Crown of Thorns

This plant is called, "Crown of Thorns", which I thought was an interesting plant. You can see the thorns going up the stem so I would say it is name right.

Love all of these tulips that were blooming at Kingwood Center.

Day 92 - Budding Promise

As you can see I'm back on blogger today my other blog is down and I won't get a response back for 24 hrs. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I switch my blog over to my web site thinking it would be better than here. I guess I will see how it goes as to what I do with it.

This is my picture for today. This is our lilac bush starting to bud out from the winter. We aren't sure how well it will do as it has gotten really out of shape so my dh really cut it back. His Mom said he probably killed it but doesn't look that way.

Day 78 - Just a Drop

Wow, is this hard to do!! I learned some things and I think next time I might have better luck getting a picture of a drop of water. It was fun trying this but I have blue food coloring all over my fingers, lol. One of my cake colorings had a leak and it was everywhere in the container I had them stored in.

Day 77 - Turn it On

These come in handy for turning things on! Another picture from my trip through "Menards" yesterday.

Day 76 - Roll and Rolls and Rolls Wire

Now would you in your wildest dreams think that rolls of wire could be that colorful. Neither did I until strolling down the rows of merchandise at "Menards". It is a brand new combo hardware, landscaping, DIY place. It is huge!!!

I am having trouble getting into DST, I just get a blank page anyone else having trouble? Anyway because I can't get in there I can't post this in the forum. I had trouble late last night so I couldn't go blog hopping.

Day 75 - Rose a Day

I went to my older photo folders because I just had to have a picture of a flower today and roses are my favorite!! Our temperatures yesterday were in the 60's so I have flower fever, lol. I can't wait for everything to start blooming out and the grass get green

Day 74 - Bark

We have two huge trees in our front yard that are around 70 ft tall. Every time the winds really blow hard we pray they will stay up there. We want to get them cut down and plant a better, stronger tree but they want around $3000.00 to cut them down. That isn't in our budget right now though. They have some great bark which makes for some great textures so that is my picture for today.

Day 73 - Bokeh

I was so excited today because I finally figured out how to do a bokeh photo.
If you don't know what I'm talking about you can read about it here on Pioneer Woman's blog
she explains and tells you how to do it. Having just a point & shoot camera I had a little harder time figuring out how to do it, but I did!!

The lights behind the fairy are on my Thomas Kinkade wreath just in case you are wondering what the light are from.

Day 72 - Moon Going To Bed

It was so cool this morning with the sun not quite up and the moon was still showing. So I thought I would get a picture of the moon this morning. Not sure if you call this moon setting or what, lol.

Day 71- Sharing

I guess pets are no different that humans when it comes to sharing. This is something that is really hard for us. it is something that does not come natural, it must be learned. It is in our human nature to be selfish so we must work hard to over come this. I have met many generous individuals through the years but there are those you meet in life that everything has to be centered on them. Obviously they did not learn the lesson about sharing.

Day 70 - Playing with Light

I'm thinking of submitting a photo in a contest for pets so today I needed to work on that. So I had Lexie by our patio doors where the morning light is coming in putting nice highlights on her fur. This isn't one I would submit but I love the light catching the different colors of her fur. She is a light chaser and the light was reflecting off my camera screen so she was looking at the light on the carpet.



I really like how the light was reflecting on this one and I think this is the one I will submit. What do you think?

Day 69 - Topaz

This little angel is so nice to use as a model so I used it again today. The stone in this necklace was first given to me by a friend who cut it himself. I had it made into a ring which was way to large for my hand so I later had it reset into this necklace. It is a beautiful smoky Topaz which is my birth stone.

Day 68 - Engagment Ring

I wanted to try and get a macro shot of my engagement ring. I can't wear it any longer and would love to get it remounted so I can.

Day 67 - Kingwood Center

I love the design of the house that sits in "Kingwood Center" where I live. This whole estate is huge, but this is the largest building.

Day 66 - Who Me?

When I was taking pictures the other day Lexie just had to have hers taken too. When ever I get out the camera she has to see what is going on. So she posed really nice for this one.

Yesterday was a bust after I went to the eye doctor it took forever for my eyes to get back to not being dilated. My pupils where huge, I should have taken a picture of that to show you but didn't think of it until just now. So there was no computer work until they got back to normal as the light hurt my eyes to much.

Day 65 - Logos

It is so exciting to see a logo you designed in print.
The yellow is our shirts with the logo I designed for your southern gospel group "Vision".
The cup is the logo I designed for our church, the logo is also on T-shirts but I no longer have one of those.

Day 64 - Drawing Companion

My Wacom tablet is my drawing companion when I am designing my scrap book kits. I applied a artist watercolor filter to the photo.

Day 63 - Lunch

Here is another picture from yesterdays lunch at Panera's. It was really yummy, I tried the chicken soup and a new sandwich "Chicken Bacon Dijon" Panini. I really liked it alot and the soup was so good. I am feeling much better today no more headache!!
So maybe I now can get creative again, it so saps my creative flow when you get a migraine.

Day 62 - Tea & Pop

A quick picture with my cell phone as I was coming off a migraine today. My dh took me out for lunch to help me feel better. I feel better today but last night was the worse I ever had, made a quick after hours trip to my chiropractor and again today. So I'm feeling much better now, I just hope we can figure out what is causing them.

Day 61 - Your Lipstick Personality

My photo of the day is my lipstick, it is the flat top one. I have been to tight to go get another one yet but I will have to do it soon as I'm getting tired of applying my lipstick with a lip brush.

Day 60 - Hands

Wow, I never feel older until I look at my hands. In this picture they remind me of my Mothers hands. I guess that is a good thing since I fond memories of all the times she wiped away my tears, cleaned up my boo boo's, cooked meals for us, washed clothes and hung them out on the line in the backyard and so many more memories than I want to list here.

Day 59 - Looking for the Sun

I am looking for the sun so I can wear my cool sunglasses! Instead of buying a new bathing suit (gave those up years ago) I now treat myself to so awesome looking shades.

Day 58 - The Start of a Beautiful Day

The sky was beautiful this morning, it looked like it was on fire when I took this picture.

Day 57 - Getting Down

This is my youngest grandson Isaac, who was on the floor. It is so easy to just shoot down on children to get the photo. But how much better it is when we get down on their level. I was laying on my belly on the floor for this awesome picture of him.

Day 56 - Marinated Salad

Sorry this isn't one of my better pictures I was in a hurry so it isn't as clear as I would like. This is the salad I fixed for the dinner tonight. It is so easy to fix, just whatever fresh veg's that you like then dump a bottle of your favorite Italian dressing on it. Let it marinate overnight at least.
